In mid-November, Matt and Cornelia Barr, along with With These Hands editor extraordinaire Chris Holmes, will be Mitchell, South Dakota, at the 2008 McGovern Conference. The topic is Hungry for Green: Feeding the World Sustainably. Matt will be screening segments of Wild Caught as well as an interview with Ted Ames, a Maine fisherman and scientist who won a McArthur Genius Grant for his work studying historic patterns of spawning and migration patterns of cod species. We will also be screening the conference and interviewing Sen. George McGovern and others for an upcoming documentary.

The digital archive:
We are also beginning to plan and seek funding for the digital archive of interviews with working people. This archive will be the backbone of the Unheard Voices Project. Ultimately, we see it as being an important resource encompassing the work of other filmmakers as well.
